It's Just About Pumpkin Time!

Hello stampin' friends! I'm back! It may be a little spotty for a week or two because I don't know how many posts I can get scheduled before I hop a plane in a few days to go visit my son and I will be gone about a week but I have a truckload of cards to share with you over the next few months!

I created this lovely pumpkin card using the Thoughtful Branches Bundle. I really can't imagine anyone NOT wanting this bundle. The stamp set and the dies are all awesome! The ideas have not even begun to be tapped for what can be done with this bundle. All that's needed is a little stretch of the imagination!

This card also gives you a sneak peek of a couple of Holiday Catalog items which you will be able to order starting September 1st:

  • Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Halloween Night Enamel Dots
I also used the Seasonal Frame Thinlit Dies which are on the clearance rack for the amazing price of $16.20 and we are coming into the seasons which will give you tons of opportunity to use these dies over and over again!

Don't delay on purchasing the Thoughtful Branches bundle; it's only available until August 31st!

For your convenience, here is a list of most of the items I used in the creation of this card. Clicking on any of the images will take you to my 24/7 online store where you can shop to your hearts content. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Try as I May, Try as I Might

Hello stampin' friends! Yes, it is me, your long, lost, demonstrator once again throwing up a quick blog post to let you know that I am still alive!

I have been one busy little girl! Try as I may, try as I might I just could not get all my make and take packets for both of my open houses done last week! I was hoping that I could, so that I could relax a little this week. But, I just couldn't do it! I didn't have it in me! However, I finished up the last of my packets yesterday. Aren't they beautiful? There are supplies in the packets for four beautiful make and takes!

I made up a total of 24 of these. Just do the math; 24 times 4 times multiple layers, times embellishments and multiple big shot passes. I now have a mean right arm: I suggest being nice to me! ha ha!

This gorgeous kraft bag is decorated with items from the new Holiday Catalog! One of my favorite items being the new Cable Knit Dynamic Folder. There is a trick to using it...so be sure to watch the video below!

For the sake of full disclosure here; I did not spritz my kraft bag. I decided that it would probably not be necessary as it is not as thick as card stock. I love how they turned out!

I have a quick (less than 10 minutes) FB Live video where I share about some of the other items that I used and a quick tip for those new thinlits and framelits when you get them. You can check that out here:

Thank you so much for stopping by! For those of you who can only visit me online...I hope you enjoyed my project! Soon I will be sharing all my make and takes and display board cards with you!

Swirly Bird: A Little Thanks

Sometimes, life just gets overwhelming. The past few weeks have been that way for me. Am I in good company?

With a move across the state in November of 2014, I've experienced a lot of change for an "older" gal!

  • I miss my grandkids - so I had them here for 6 weeks this summer. Who needs a clean house, anyway?
  • I miss my stampin' friends - so I travel back to see them once a month in the nice weather months with longer days (which will be ending way too soon).
  • I'm working really hard at trying to find new stampin' friends in my new town of Le Mars, Iowa - it's tough for an introvert who has no training in marketing - I find this marketing stuff to be exhausting!
  • My husband suffers from headaches regularly and misses a lot of work - can you say stress?
  • The summer months and early fall months mean bountiful harvests (I don't have my own gardens here, yet - but I buy from those that do) which means putting up all those fresh goodies for the winter months - I spent a whole week freezing fresh peaches, recently!
  • I'm trying to prepare for 2 Grand Annual Open Houses (luckily the prep is the same - just one means I have to clean my house - the other means I have to pack it up and haul it across the state)
Anyway, I don't think I am alone. We are all busy. We all have things that bring additional stress into our lives and, sometimes, we find it hard to find the time to do the things that relax us and bring a little stress relief; like creating and stamping! Focusing on stamping takes all your problems right out of your head - whether it is for 15 minutes here and there, or for an hour or two at a time. When you are done with your creations you are filled with the satisfaction in a job well done! This week has been tough because my to do list has kind of kept me out of my stamp room which means that I haven't had much stress relief and I don't have lots of new cards to share. Plus, I want my display boards to contain fresh new ideas - so if my posts are sporadic the next few weeks it is because I am working on my Open House Displays. Hang in there with me!

I created this card using one of my favorite sets, Swirly Bird. Sometimes we have a friend that watches over us a bit in our times of stress - does a little egg watching so-to-speak - and we just need to send a little thanks for taking time out of their busy life to help us hatch our eggs! I wish my egg watchers weren't so far away!

Every time you stop by and visit my blog, or my Facebook Page, make a comment, like a post, read my email, attend my events, or make a purchase from me; I find it to be a great encouragement to keep carrying on - so here's a little thanks from me for helping me to hatch my eggs! I can't wait to see what they turn out to be!

How to Get Good Results Water Coloring With a Blender Pen

I created this card because...I am a delinquent daughter. Gulp! There...I said it! You heard it right! I was so busy at the end of May and the first part of June with new catalog launches and preparing for classes that I never got a Father's Day card sent to my dad. What? I know...it's terrible! I've been late before...but usually not this late! But, I am guessing that he will be tickled about getting it anyway, even if it is late!

This card was water-colored using blender pens. If you'd like to watch my video for tips on how to get good results with a blender pen head on over to my FB Page:
