Lots of Bots Happy Birthday Human

This Lots of Bots is a fun stamp set for kids cards! I love the birthday greeting...makes me smile everytime! The color combo of Bermuda Bay and Dusty Durango gives it a cheerful aura and since birthdays are for celebrating...it's perfect! I think the small grommets are my first pick accessory for this stamp set...however, I have not yet mastered the art of using these to my satisfaction! As the saying goes...practice makes perfect...but I am looking for the trick (I seem to have a few of those) that bypasses all that frustration...because I stamp for fun! So, if you have discovered one - please share!

Animal Stories Swap

This is a cute card with some interesting details. It has a neat texture provided by the Big Shot and Texturz Plates Kit #4. I don't have that one...but I may have to get it! I like how it was punched on one side for the ribbon and sentiment...I think I may give that a try on a card...but I may go a step further and punch on both sides for the ribbon. The color combo was derived from the Designer Series Background paper, Tall Tales. The colors are; Soft Suede, So Saffron, Brilliant Blue, and Old Olive. This card was stamped by fellow demo Amy Jorden.

Hello Again Make & Take

This was the 3rd and final make & take at my open house! Through a convention reporter (who just also happened to be my convention buddy) I was able to see pictures of the make & takes from convention! I loved it immediately! Not only did I have the set but I just loved the brightness and the simplicity of it! The color combo used is Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, and Old Olive. Hello Again is just a cute little set with many of my favorite images; flowers and butterflies! LOL!

Circle Circus Make & Take

This was another make & take from my open house. Circle Circus is a very universal set. It is great for focal points on a card such as this; or, it comes in handy for borders or backgrounds! I love the variety of the circle styles. This layout is very simple...and makes a very cheerful card. The color combo is Bermuda Bay with Basic Black. Lots of punches used with this layout! The Scallop Circle, Scallop Edge, and 2 Circle punches! I also used the SU! Perfect Details Texturz Plate. I reallly like this design paired with the FYI stamp set and plan to make up a few! I'll use several of our new In Colors with this design! It will be pretty in Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry!

For All You Do Make & Take

I just loved this make & take for my open house! I used the new Stampin' Up! Elegant Boquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, the For All You Do Stamp Set, and Rich Razzleberry paired with Old Olive. The embossing gives it an elegant look (this embossing folder is aptly named!) and the minimal stamping not only makes it a quick card to make...but helps the card maintain it's elegant simplicity! To highlight the sentiment/greeting it was punched out with the Word Window punch and then layered on Rich Razzleberry punched out with the new Modern Label punch.

Kind & Caring Thoughts Swap

I love this new hostess set! I think I am addicted to florals! This beautiful card was stamped by Betsy Glasco. She used Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Old Olive for her color combo. She used glitter and crystal effects to highlight the berries and the flower which really adds to the prettiness of the card.

Wings of Friendship Swap

This pretty card was stamped by Jan Waters. She used the new Hostess Set, Wings of Friendship for her swap. The main color, Rich Razzleberry...lives up to its name. It is a deep, rich color. I love it! Small details really make this card. The scallop oval punch in the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper as a frame for the sentiment is a very nice touch. She also highlighted different areas of the image with the Crushed Curry marker which realy pulls it together with the designer series paper. Nice job, Jan!

Razzle Dazzle With A Hinge!

This beautiful card was stamped by fellow demo Kathy Chono-Herring. I love the cheerful color combo of Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive. The Filigree Brad on this card acts as an hinge...and the top half of the card swings up to show the greeting. Very nice! You can see how it works at my open house on Saturday!

Autumn Days Swap

I love the look of this technique! I haven't used the technique much since SU! discontinued the rainbow inkpads. This card was stamped by fellow demo Tamra Davis. She used a stipple brush rather than a brayer to layer the colors over the masked sun (or full moon...however you see it! lol!) She used the greeting from the new hostess set, Holiday Best. We don't carry that acrylic piece...but it would look very nice framed with the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware. The new In Colors Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, and Dusty Durango were used.

Wedding Sweet Swap

This card was stamped by fellow demo Kristine McGee. She used the Wedding Sweet Set with the new In Colors Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede. The Designer Series Paper is Thoroughly Modern. She embossed the image using Irridescent Ice embossing powder...which is really pretty. I like how she anchored the Soft Suede Polka Dot grosgrain ribbon with the Styled Silver Brad. It is a cute idea that I shall have to remember!

Medallion Swap

Since I chose not to go to convention this year (I had withdrawals after going for 10 years in a row! It's a terrible addiction...) I participated in a new catalog swap via snail mail. The swaps came today...so I had an exciting day! I am going to share a few of them with you before my open house...because I am so busy getting ready for it (don't forget...it is this Saturday!) I just don't have the time to stamp! I really liked this one (I am partial to quick, easy cards that are pretty). It used the new Medallion stamp and new In Colors; Crushed Curry and Soft Suede. This card was stamped for the swap by fellow demo
Diane McCornack.

Of the Earth

I made this card for a dear, sweet friend who lost her husband of 59 years. I used the same colors and layout on a card a few days ago (click on the title of this post to see) but I think this one is prettier. I highlighted the embossed images with a touch of color which really made it pop! The stamp set I used is a new level 1 hostess set called, Of the Earth.
