Perfectly Framed

"Framing provides a point of focus." When you frame an object or a scene, you are bringing attention to it by removing all distracting clutter around it so that there is nowhere else to look but at the point of interest. There are several advantages of using the framing technique:

  • It provides depth and perspective
  • It leads our eyes to the subject
  • It gives a sense of mystery and intrigue
  • It provides context
I used the Window Framelits to frame the stamped image from Mosaic Madness stamp set. Framelits are an easy way to frame images for added interest to your cards!

Supplies used on this card are listed below. Remember to click my order online button (above right) to be taken to my demonstrator business website and click the shop now button to purchase any of the following items!

Who Let The Genie Out Of The Bottle?

"Who let the genie out of the bottle?"  In old Arabian stories, a genie was a magic spirit that would do whatever the person who controlled it wanted. I love all things romantic and fanciful that push the boundaries of the imagination into the real world. Genies and flying carpets may never enter into the real world but there have been those who have dreamed and asked, "Why not?" Take flying for instance; if someone had not dreamed and asked why not, we would still be earth bound! In American context, letting the genie out of the bottle is not a good thing. I prefer the old Arabian stories myself. I say go ahead and let your artful genie out of the bottle! Dream and ask why not; the more you expand your artful boundaries, the more fun it will be!

Postage Due!

"I would pay the postage due to get this beauty!"

Insufficient postage became an increasing problem with the advent of postage stamps and people making their own decisions about the amount to pay. Several different methods were used to try to collect the amount due from the recipient with France being the first to issue official postage due stamps. This set, Postage Due is a beautiful set reflecting the creation and advent of postage due stamps! Luckily, I didn't have to pay any postage due to receive this wonderful card from Ronda. It looks complicated, but is very simple. My kind of card! A little background stamping, tone on tone, a little background paper, a little ribbon, a couple of stamped images cut out with framelits all layered together to create this striking card!

Supplies used on this card are listed below. Remember to click my order online button (above right) to be taken to my demonstrator business website and click the shop now button to purchase any of the following items!
