Awesomely Artistic Make Over

Here is the promised make over of the Awesomely Artistic card that I posted here. I did not make big changes to the card, I just used some of the newer items like the Metallics Tape and Baker's Twine! I also used the Wink of Stella on the dragonfly, but that is harder to see! I think the next time I will make a shadow under my dragonfly by stamping him on the card and then putting the cut out above it slightly off center so he stands out more. I may try adding a little color to the wings and making his body black, too. I think he would "pop a little more from the card that way. He seems a little lost! What do you think? Awesomely Artistic Friend

This is a swap card from convention last year. I wish I knew who to give credit to; but it has no identification with it. I am planning on updating this card when I CASE (acronym for copy and share everything) it! I am going to use the new Metallics Tape and see what the new Baker's Twine looks like! A Happy Hello

I love swaps! They are a wonderful way to get additional ideas, color combos, and cards! This gorgeous swap card was created by fellow demonstrator Nena Shaw. What do I Love About Awesomely Artistic?

Is it fair to say that I love everything about this set? I love flora and I have always been fascinated by dragonflies. Couple that with how easy it is to stamp a quick, simple, and pretty card with this set and you have a winner! This pretty swap card was created by fellow demonstrator, Cyndy Ponczek. I love her soft color combo of Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe with the pop of Delightful Dijon. The little bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter draws the eye to the dragonfly flitting in the corner. Who is not Pedaling? Pedal Pusher Video

This new sale-a-bration set is so fun and cute! It brings back some fun and happy memories for me! When Jim and I went to Alaska we rented a bicycle built for two and peddled the coastal trail in Anchorage. We saw some great sights; including a very pregnant moose. Isn't this a beautiful card? It is one of my swap cards but the creator either did not include her information, or it somehow got separated from the card. This card is fancied up just a little more than the one I shared yesterday, but is is still a pretty simple card and it, too, is stamped with the Butterfly Basics stamp set! I think that's a total of three pretty and mostly basic cards that I have shared using this beautiful stamp set! Hello My Friend!

Hello friends! I almost forgot about this swap card created by fellow demonstrator, Angie Brailsford. She used Flowering Fields and Hello, both of which, are Sale-A-Bration sets! Flowering Fields is a Sale-A-Bration set that will be available until March 21st...but the Hello set is only available through February 15th! Yikes! I feel as if I have been sleeping again! I do like this little set as I am fond of hello's and hate good-bye's! The little smiley face in the set is fun (not shown here - quick go look at your brochure!) and as shown on this card, the little sun and the hello pair very well with Flowering Fields, which I love! The color combo is Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Mint Macaron. The Pear Pizzazz could be eliminated though and just use the Mint Macaron (which is in the Baker's Twine.)  She also used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. Is it a Bloomin' Mix Up?

It is a bloomin' mix up; of sorts! It was an intentional mix up of mixing the new with some old, however! I don't do that very much. I really don't like showing you something that you are really going to like, feel like you must absolutely have, and then find out that you can't get it. It just seems so mean! However, the Bloomin' Hearts dies are so pretty and the "love" from the Expression thinlits that we had was so perfect as a non-stamped image underneath the heart for a Valentine's Day card that I just had to! I.Really.Am.Sorry! If you didn't get the Expression dies while they were available, you will have to find something else to use in place of the "love." With the pretty Bloomin' Heart as the focal point of your card, there is no way it will not be a gorgeous card! The Bloomin' Heart dies are currently on backorder so if you really want them, I suggest you order them as anything in the Occasions Catalog is not guaranteed to be available after May 31st. The Journey Begins...

Another Sky is the Limit swap card that I have fallen in love with! And it came at an appropriate time! I have a new journey beginning here in Le Mars, Iowa today! I am participating in a huge EXPO here in town this weekend to get myself known in the community! This neat card was created by fellow demonstrator, Olive Barnes. Not only is it a great looking card but it reminded me of this technique we did way back in the day with all the sports cards that I did when I had teenage boys at home. It's a great technique for showing movement and it is easy to do. Just a little lift and move and repeated stamping of the image without reinking the stamp; that's all there is to it! Next week when the expo is over I am hoping to get my Adobe Photoshop set up on my computer as part of the restoring process. Trying to crop and watermark on my phone is doable but challenging on such a small screen!
